Giving to Saint Thomas More Parish
At Saint Thomas More, we respond to God’s generosity to us by giving back to Him.
God is our Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth. He holds the entire world in existence. Everything we are and everything we have have belongs to Him — including our finances.
In the Sermon on the Mount, Christ commands us not to store up our treasures on earth, but to value the Kingdom of Heaven above all else. Rather than letting our love of money rule us, Jesus asks us to be generous stewards of the gifts that he has given us to use for His glory.
We want to make it easy and safe for you to give back to this parish. You can give in a few ways.
Weekly Envelope Giving
When you register as a parishioner, you can opt to receive giving envelopes. You can place your weekly donation into these envelopes and drop them in the collection basket at Mass.
These envelopes help you track your giving each week and give the parish the ability to provide you with a tax receipt at the end of the year.
PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance) — Automatic Giving
St. Thomas More Parish relies on your regular contributions and appreciates the efforts of parishioners to make consistent donations throughout the year.
To aid with this, St. Thomas More offers convenient, secure giving called PAR, or Pre-Authorized Remittance (also sometimes called PAD, or Pre-Authorized Deposits). This program will automatically withdraw a pre-determined amount from a banking account in a given period of time, as determined by you.
To have your offerings made automatically from your financial institution, please complete the PAR Form, then place it in the collection basket, mail, or return it to the parish office in a sealed envelope.
Contact the parish office for additional information: call 902-434-4190 or email email@example.com.
“My Financial Gift” cards will be available in the back of the parish. You can pick up one of these cards on your way into the Church and place it in the collection basket during Mass as a sign of your financial gift. Thank you for your generosity!
When it comes time to prepare your Will, please consider remembering St. Thomas More Parish. Including our parish in your Will is one way to acknowledge your gratitude for the gifts that God has given you and can help to support the work of the parish far into the future. You can also make a bequest for a specific project or cause that will be respected.
To learn more, please contact the parish office at 902-434-4190 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The most important way for you to support our parish is through your prayers. As Jesus said, “Apart from Me, you can do nothing,” so we rely on God’s grace and the prayers of this community in all things.
To make a spiritual gift, please commit to a practice of prayer, service, or sacrifice, offered for Saint Thomas More (some examples: one Our Father each day; one time volunteering each month; one day of fasting from meat;). “My Spiritual Gift” cards will be available in the back of the parish. You can pick up one of these cards on your way into the Church and place it in the collection basket during Mass as a sign of your spiritual gift. Thank you for your prayers!
