Saint Thomas More Religious Education Programs
Religious Education: Primary- Grade 6
We are using the “Be My Disciples Program” for grades 1 to 6. “Be My Disciples” not only helps us accomplish the mission of sharing our Catholic faith, but it also helps us explore the Catechism of the Catholic Church’s four pillars of Creed, Liturgy, Morality (Beatitudes, Commandments, etc…) and Prayer. It is appropriately written for all grade levels, information and program resources are available at BeMyDisciples.com
For the safety of our students, all catechist must undergo police checks and be compliant with the diocesan Responsible Ministry and Safe Environmental Protocol.
We are grateful for all catechists, assistant catechists, student helpers and substitutes for sharing their time and talents in this important ministry. We are always looking for help; if you have an hour to spare in the service of the Lord, Please contact our Parish Catechist, Shereen Daniels
Tuesday and Thursday: 9:00am-2:00pm
Religious Education: Junior High, Grades 7-9
At St. Thomas More, we have a vibrant and fun youth catechism program for young people in Junior High. We strive to create a program that has the feel of an interesting and community-based youth group and that makes Catholic catechesis relevant to our teenagers. Grades seven through nine meet together for videos, skits, games and short talks before breaking into small grade-based groups to break open topics in a comfortable, welcoming, and safe environment. Service is a large element in our program where they are encouraged and empowered to make a meaningful contribution in our community. Young people are encouraged to bring their ideas, experiences, and friends! We also offer special preparation for grade 9 students who celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation at the end of their final year.
